The Structure and function of solar power system

The function of individual part:

1. Solar cell module: Solar cell module is the core part of the solar power supply system, and the most valuable part of the solar power supply system too. It has many functions, such as to change the energy of solar radiation into electrical energy, or to save them into storage battery, or to push load work. The quality and cost of Solar cell module determines directly the quality and cost of the entire system.

2. Solar controller: The function of the solar controller is to control the work status of the entire system, and it have function of protection of over charge and over discharge for the storage battery. At the place where thee are big temperature difference, qualified controller have to have the function of temperature compensation. Other additional functions are optional of the controller, such as light switch and time switch.

3. Storage battery: Usually, it is lead acid battery, in small or micro systems, nickel-hydrogen battery, nickel-cadmium battery or lithium battery can be used too. Its function is to save the electrical energy from the solar battery when it is sunshine, and discharge it when it is needed.
